The Stenographers’ Guild is a society registered under the Societies’ Registration Act, 1860. The Guild runs on “No Profit No Loss” basis with the motto “Selfless Service to the Society”. The Guild runs its administration by way of its meagre course fees and donations received from like-minded philanthropists.

The foundation stone for the institution was laid by the former Chief Minister of Tamilnadu, Late. Shri. C. Rajagopalachari

The Guild’s main area of activity is in the sphere of vocational education, and offers career-oriented, tailor-made training in the area of Secretarial skills, Computer Skills and Shorthand. Though these courses are open to all categories of people, true to its objectives, the Guild is chiefly targeting the youth, widows, circumstantially deprived, destitutes and those who hail from the economically weaker sections of the society. By way of its own sponsorship and sponsorships from various departments of Government of TamilNadu, other voluntary and non-voluntary organizations, etc., the Guild offers them free education and training and arranges employment for them.
