Mr. Ramaswamy is using Government grants to teach shorthand to the underprivileged. He has regular classes for children of poor families, destitute women, the handicapped.

The Guild

The Guild founded by Late Rajaji, was established in the year 1937. Since then, many stalwarts and veterans contributed to the development of the activities of the Guild, mainly in practicing High Speed writing in Pitman shorthand. With the passage of time, the Guild Management felt the need to introduce computer courses in addition to teaching Pitman shorthand. Presently, the Guild is teaching various computer courses. With this background, Mr. Walter Kistler offered to teach Newrite shorthand to the first batch of students by offering a moderate stipend to deserving students and scholarship for other students through the Guild.

• Covering the proceedings of Seminars/Symposia/Meetings, etc., for various Private/Public/Government organizations, to mention a few Series of seminars on economic reforms conducted by Dr.P.S.Lokanathan Memorial Society at Chennai, New Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad

• Conducting skill tests in Shorthand and Computer for recruitment of Stenographers/ Personal Assistants / Private Secretaries / Executive Secretaries for various Government/Public and Private Sector Undertakings, etc., which include Evaluated the performance of about 400 candidates for recruitment as PAs to Hon'ble Judges of the Madras High Court, out of which 50 were selected for appointment as PAs to Hon'ble Judges.

• Conducted Departmental skill tests - Promotional and Incentive tests, recruitment tests for staff of Food Corporation of India, United India Insurance Co. Ltd. from time to time.

• Conducted departmental / recruitment skill tests for the staff of The State Trade Corporation of India Ltd., Chennai Telephones, National Highways Authority of India, Postal, ESIC, AAI, Tamilnadu Women Development Corporation, Tamilnadu Slum Clearence Board, Railway Recruitment Board etc.

• Conducted recruitment/departmental skill tests for the staff of Bank of Baroda, Karur Vysya Bank, State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur, Industrial Development Bank of India (IDBI), Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi Ltd, TNSC Bank, Indian Bank, Reserve Bank of India, etc.

• Conducted recruitment tests for TATA Energy Research Institute, New Delhi, Indian Institute of Technology, Ahmedabad.
