The Birth Anniversary Celebration of Tamil Shorthand Inventor Rao Saheb M. Srinivasa Rao was held on 1st April 2006 at The Stenographers' Guild.  Dr. S.P. Thyagarajan, Vice Chancellor, University of Madras presided over the function and distributed certificates to students who had completed the Newrite Course.
